Alumni Banquet Letter 2010

Dear Alumni,

Congratulations to the 2010 graduates. It has been a lot of hard work, and good times. Well done. Welcome to the Alumni! Come join us this and every year.

The Alumni Banquet will be held June 26th, dinner at 6:00 PM in the school cafeteria. There have been some requests to relax and play before dinner. Playtime starts at 4:00PM, with horseshoes, free throw contests, bring board games, cards, dominoes, anything that you’d enjoy with your friends. Please bring memories of your school days. A project is underway to use those memories to design quilts as fundraisers for Bethel sports program(s). Instead of writing it down, we can video one or more people reminiscing and take design ideas from the video. We’ll have questions posted around the area to help spark memories. Entertainment: do we have former band members who would like to join the band for entertainment with Mr. Irby and current members of the band? Please reply ASAP!

The menu for dinner is brisket, cole slaw, baked beans, potato salad, tea & lemonade.

It can’t be stressed strongly enough that we need to save Bethel Alumni. Last year there were only 60 people, from the more than 2,000 graduates in the database. Please everyone, if you possibly can attend this year, make plans and come support our school. Please make suggestions and voice ideas for making our Alumni Association stronger and our alumni banquets more fun events.

One way of doing this is to make an educated guess about the number of people who will attend, and then hope and pray there will be enough food, without too much left over. Of course we have to pay the caterer for all of it, and I can just imagine the angst of hoping there will be enough to go around. It does sound more reasonable to offer advanced ticket sales at a reduced rate. We want to encourage the current year graduates, teachers (current and retired) to attend this year, so we are offering a reduced rate for this group too. A CONFIRMATION NUMBER WILL BE PROVIDED. If you choose not to take advantage ofdvance tickets, please do make a reservation, and follow through with attendance. Please RSVP for the Alumni Banquet. You can reach us in a number of ways:
